Act 48 Credits available at ISTE 2023
PAECT is pleased to announce PA certified educators are able to earn Act 48 hours through their attendance at ISTE 2023!
Act 48 of 1999 requires all Pennsylvania educators holding Pennsylvania public school certification including Instructional I and II, Educational Specialist I and II, and vocational certificates to participate in ongoing professional education. Educators must earn six credits of collegiate study; or six credits of PDE-approved continuing professional education courses; or 180 hours of continuing professional education programs, activities, or learning experiences through a PA Department of Education (PDE) approved provider; or any combination of the above every five years to maintain active certification status. PAECT is an approved Act 48 provider.
In order for PAECT to report the Act 48 hours to PDE, the following information must be accurately provided:
1. Your name exactly as it appears on your Instructional, Educational Specialist, or Vocational certificate.
2. Your entire seven (7) digit Professional Personal ID number (PPID). (If you do not know your PPID, you may access it here.)
